Overview:

Power BI is transforming how finance professionals manage reporting, analysis, and decision support. With its ability to connect multiple data sources, create dynamic dashboards, and visualize trends instantly, it’s quickly becoming a must-have tool for CPAs and finance teams.

This session introduces Power BI in a practical, non-technical way. We’ll start with the basics: what Power BI is, how it works, and why it matters for financial professionals. Then we’ll dive into hands-on applications.

Participants will learn how to build dashboards that track revenue, expenses, KPIs, and budget vs actuals. We’ll explore how to use filters, slicers, and drill-downs to explore data and uncover performance drivers. You’ll also learn how to connect Power BI to Excel, CSVs, and other common data sources - no IT support required.

We’ll cover how Power BI supports audit readiness, variance analysis, and financial storytelling. You’ll learn how to design reports that communicate clearly and drive action - whether you’re presenting to executives, boards, or clients.

By the end of the course, you’ll be able to build and share Power BI reports that help your team make smarter, faster decisions - and you’ll feel confident using the tool in your day-to-day work.

Why should you Attend:
Finance professionals are under pressure to explain results, spot trends, and support decisions - fast. But when data is buried in spreadsheets or scattered across systems, reporting becomes a chore instead of a strategic advantage.

Power BI changes that. It allows CPAs and finance teams to connect data, build dashboards, and visualize performance in real time. The challenge? Most professionals don’t know where to start or assume it’s too technical.

This course removes that barrier. You’ll learn how to use Power BI to build financial reports that are clear, interactive, and decision-ready. We’ll walk through how to connect data sources, create visuals, and design dashboards that highlight what matters - from revenue and expenses to KPIs and budget vs actuals.

You’ll also learn how Power BI supports audit readiness, variance analysis, and financial storytelling. Whether you’re presenting to leadership, managing a department, or supporting compliance, this course will help you turn data into insight - and insight into action.

In today’s environment, where financial transparency and agility are essential, Power BI is a skill every CPA and finance professional should have
